九州旅客鉄道 (JR九州) の鹿児島本線に、日本貨物鉄道 (JR貨物) のED76形電気機関車1000番台が重連で走っていました (2024年 冬)。
ED76-type electric locomotives 1000 series of Japan Freight Railway (JR Freight) were running with double heading on the Kagoshima Line of Kyushu Railway (JR Kyushu). (

住友金属工業 特殊管事業所 (すみともきんぞくこうぎょう とくしゅかんじぎょうしょ) :
Sumitomo Metal Industries Steel Tube Works
住友金属工業の特殊管事業所の専用軌道に、機関車や貨車が走っていました (2011 秋)。
実測したところ、軌間は762mmのようでした。
列車が県道を横断していました。遮断機はありませんでした。
On an exclusive track in Steel Tube Works of Sumitomo Metal Industries, locomotives and wagons were running (
Autumn, 2011).
The gauge which was measured was seemingly 762mm (2 feet 6 inches).
One train was crossing a road. There was not a crossing gate.
ボタ山 (ボタやま) :
Spoil Heap
志免鉱業所に隣接したボタ山です (2009年 夏)。
This is spoil heaps adjoining Shime Mining (
Summer, 2009).

変わった形のポストがありました (34.375208, 132.519532) (2003年 春)。
「郵便差出箱6号」という珍しい種類のポストのようでしたが、既に異なるタイプのものに交換されてしまったようです。

It seems that, this is "郵便差出箱6号" (No.6-type Post) which is a rare type, but the post have been already changed to a post of a different type.
